We're delighted to confirm sponsorship of James Lodge for the WDBS British Open at Woking Snooker Centre ; 12-14 Jan 2024
James' Bio, in his own words:
My name is James, I am 27 years old. I currently play on the World Disability Billiards and Snooker Tour under the Classification Group 6B (Autism with an IQ over 75). I live in the city of Norwich in the county of Norfolk. I am currently number 8 in my classification, with 3 quarter finals being my beat result achieved at the 2022 Stockport Open, 2023 Hull Open and 2023 UK Championship.
I play at Woodside Dereham and Woodside Norwich, but for practice, individual leagues, and events I play at Dereham as it is a calmer atmosphere and more suited to tournament player. My highest break witnessed is a 37 made at Woodside Dereham and highest solo practice break is 41 made at the same club. The aim is to make a 50 break as I know I am more than capable to make that with the hard work and drive to become the best player in the WDBS Group 6B classification.
I have achieved becoming of the best players in my WDBS classification and produced a strong consistency in local events in Norfolk, winning the Woodside Norwich Handicap tournament in September for the first time winning four matches. I also produced that at Woodside Dereham with the 6 Red handicap event (myself and a friend came up with the idea of 6 Reds event to be different to other events). I have been in the quarter finals twice, semi-finals twice and finalist twice and plate finalist twice at the event. I have shown consistency, resilience, and motivation within myself and my game.
Moreover, I also am a Disability Snooker Correspondent for Snooker Scene since March 2023, where I have written tournament reports for WDBS events as well events with representation of WDBS players such as the Bob Mason Open at Woking Snooker Centre and Millbrow Snooker Club in Widnes. I am also since August 2023 the chairman of Norfolk Billiards and Snooker County Association in which my role is get more people playing the game, taking part in leagues and tournaments, make new friends and show the benefits of the sport such as improved mental health, community cohesion and support networks. Furthermore, I have written a Masters dissertation showing that Snooker supports the UK government’s community sport policy objectives.
The game of Snooker I have played since the age of nine, and competitively since I was 25 has given me so much to me and I feel it has supported my mental and physical health, made so many new friendships and I want to keep pushing it for to shown more live on social media, television and to be part of the Olympic/Paralympic movement in the future.
GOOD LUCK JAMES !!

Dylans' Bio, in his own words:
I am Dylan Beer aged 13 and I adore the game of snooker. I Started playing when I was 7 years old and have loved the game ever since.
I take immense pride in my snooker achievements, and my highest break currently stands at 66. However, I believe there are even greater milestones ahead. I regularly compete in tournaments and events throughout the country, striving to push my abilities to the limit.
One of the most significant highlights of my journey was the opportunity to represent England in the Under 16s category at the Home Internationals in Leeds this year. This chance to wear the national colours fills me with excitement and a deep sense of pride. Back in October I won my first Cuestars event in Coulsdon, competing in Silver. I have also qualified for stage 2 of the EPSB Under 14s, last month.
I work hard at my game and practice most days. Any help would be gratefully received which would help towards the final EPSB English Junior Tour Event, in Walsall next month.
